Set against the stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, this year’s festival promises an unforgettable experience filled with adrenaline-pumping activities, expert workshops, and inspiring community interactions. Event Highlights

1. Climbing Competitions
   • Bouldering Showdown: An exhilarating competition showcasing climbers’ strength and technique on challenging bouldering problems. Categories include beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
   • Lead Climbing Championship: Test your endurance and skill on extended routes. The championship features both men’s and women’s divisions with thrilling climbs set to challenge the best.
   • Speed Climbing Sprint: A high-octane race where climbers compete for the fastest ascent on a predetermined route.
2. Workshops and Clinics
   • Technique Mastery Workshop: Led by renowned climber and coach Alex Thompson, this session focuses on refining climbing techniques and improving efficiency on the wall.
   • Safety and First Aid Seminar: Essential for climbers of all levels, this workshop covers basic first aid, accident prevention, and rescue techniques in climbing scenarios.
   • Youth Climbing Clinic: Designed for young climbers (ages 8-16), this clinic introduces kids to climbing fundamentals in a fun and supportive environment.

   • Film Screening Night: Watch the latest climbing documentaries and adventure films in a cozy outdoor setting. Films include “Vertical Dreams” and “The Ascent: Climbing Beyond Limits.”
6. Family and Community Activities
   • Kids’ Climbing Adventure Zone: A dedicated area for children featuring climbing walls, interactive games, and educational activities related to climbing and outdoor safety.

Registration and Tickets

• Early Bird Registration (until July 15th): $150 for a full festival pass, which includes access to all competitions, workshops, and social events.
• Standard Registration (July 16th – August 30th): $200 for a full festival pass.
• Day Passes: Available for $75 per day, covering access to all events and activities for the selected day.
• Family Passes: $350 for a family of four, including access to all family and community activities.

What to Bring

• Climbing Gear: Harness, climbing shoes, chalk, and rope (if participating in lead climbing events). Rental gear is available on-site.
• Outdoor Clothing: Weather-appropriate clothing, including layers for varying temperatures and a rain jacket.
• Camping Gear: For those staying at the festival campgrounds, bring a tent, sleeping bag, and camping essentials. Alternatively, explore nearby lodging options.

Health and Safety Measures

• First Aid Stations: Located throughout the festival grounds, staffed by trained medical professionals.
• Emergency Response: On-site emergency response team for immediate assistance.
• COVID-19 Protocols: Following current health guidelines to ensure a safe experience for all attendees, including sanitation stations and optional mask-wearing.

Volunteer Opportunities

Get involved and contribute to the success of the Vertical Ascent Climbing Festival! Volunteers are needed for various roles, including event setup, registration, and guiding participants. Volunteers receive a complimentary festival pass and a festival T-shirt.
